Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot are well-communicated cities.
There are several different means of transport to get to the Tricity.

Probably the most convenient way to get to Gdańsk is by air. The Lech Walesa Airport, 10 km west of Gdańsk, is one of three most important international airports in Poland, effectively operating as a spare airport for Okęcie Airport in Warsaw. A new terminal launched prior to the football Championship Euro 2012, offers frequent direct flights to London, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Rome and Berlin. The major airlines operating at this airport include Lufthansa, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, AirBaltic, Air Berlin, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Swiss, TAP Portugal, and Poland's national carrier LOT.

Recently launched Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway connects Lech Wałęsa Airport with Gdańsk’s city center. It is combined with the 'Fast Urban Railway' which provides further connections by frequent trains to 27 stations throughout the Tricity.

There is also a fast bus line number 210 and night line number N3 from airport to the city center.

In 2011-2015 the Warsaw-Gdańsk-Gdynia railway route underwent a major upgrading. The advancements significantly improved railway connection with the Tricity. In December 2014 new Pendolino high-speed trains were put into service between Gdańsk, Warsaw and Kraków reducing the rail travel time from Gdańsk to Warsaw to 3 hours. Thanks to improvements traveling to Gdansk by train has become very convenient.
